Corner Canyon Chargers Girls Flag Football Players Targeted by Nebraska's Liz and Katie Sowers

๐Ÿ“ Corner Canyon ChargersยทTuesday, July 14, 2026ยทFridayNightPulse Insider

As the University of Nebraska prepares to launch its inaugural NCAA Division 1 girls flag football program in 2028, Corner Canyon Chargers players are taking notice. Coaches Liz and Katie Sowers, who have a proven track record in the sport, are actively recruiting top talent from the Draper area. Chargers players interested in pursuing a flag football scholarship at Nebraska should focus on developing their skills through the team's summer camps and training sessions. Meanwhile, Ottawa University, Kansas, is another top option, offering up to 12 NAIA scholarships. Keiser University, Florida, and Midland University, Nebraska, are also active recruiters in the region. UT Arlington's development of its NCAA Division 1 program may offer future opportunities, but scholarships have not yet been announced.
