Jordan Smith Commits to UTSA Roadrunners
Westfield Bulldogs defensive end Jordan Smith, a rising junior, has pledged to continue his football career at the University of Texas at San Antonio. Smith, a 6-foot-3, 220-pound pass rusher, chose UTSA for its aggressive 3-4 defensive scheme, which aligns with his strengths as a edge defender. He also cited the Roadrunners' need for depth at his position, as well as the university's strong academic programs in business and engineering. Smith previously held offers from several Group of Five programs, but UTSA's combination of athletic and academic opportunities ultimately won him over. This marks the first commitment for the Bulldogs in the Class of 2027. Smith is expected to contribute immediately in San Antonio, where he will have the opportunity to develop his skills in a high-powered offense.
