Salem Spartans Name New Strength and Conditioning Coordinator

The Salem Spartans, a 4A program in Virginia's VHSL, have hired Mark Davis as their new strength and conditioning coordinator. Davis brings 10 years of experience working with high school football programs, including two years as a strength coach at a 5A school. The Spartans, who finished 6-5 last season, are looking to build on their momentum and compete for a region title in the upcoming season. With Davis on board, the team is expected to focus on improving its overall strength and endurance, which should benefit their recruiting efforts and competitive standing in the region. The Spartans will begin their preseason camp in August, and Davis will play a key role in preparing the team for the season.
