Tyler Harris Commits to Navy Football Program
Highland Springs wide receiver Tyler Harris has committed to play football at the United States Naval Academy, Navy announced Wednesday. Harris, a Class of 2027 prospect, chose the Midshipmen over other Division I programs. The 5-foot-11, 175-pound receiver is expected to fit into Navy's triple-option offense, where his speed and agility will be valuable assets. Harris is likely to compete for a spot on the depth chart as a freshman, given Navy's need for playmakers at the wide receiver position. The Naval Academy's strong academic program and commitment to developing leaders also played a significant role in Harris's decision. Harris previously held offers from Virginia Tech, East Carolina and Marshall, but ultimately chose Navy for its unique blend of athletic and academic opportunities.
