Austin Davis Commits to Baylor as Safety
Westfield Bulldogs senior safety Austin Davis has committed to Baylor University, choosing the Big 12 program over other top college options. Davis, a 6A standout in the Class of 2026, will join the Baylor Bears' secondary, which is expected to feature a mix of man-to-man and zone coverage. With the departure of several key defensive backs, Davis should have an opportunity to compete for playing time early in his college career. Baylor's academic program, which is consistently ranked among the nation's top programs, also played a significant role in Davis' decision. He had previously committed to Virginia Tech, but reopened his recruitment in April. The 6-foot-1, 180-pound safety is considered one of the top prospects in the state of Virginia.
