Fair Haven Slaters Safety Jordan Taylor Commits to Baylor
Fair Haven Slaters safety Jordan Taylor has committed to the University of Baylor, the school announced Wednesday. The Class of 2027 standout selected the Bears over offers from several other Power Five programs. Taylor, a 6-foot-1, 185-pound defensive back, is expected to contribute immediately in Baylor's aggressive 3-4 scheme. The Slaters' secondary will likely lose several key starters to graduation, creating an opportunity for Taylor to secure a starting role early in his career. Academically, Taylor is drawn to Baylor's strong business program and the opportunity to pursue a degree in finance. Taylor had previously committed to the University of Virginia but reopened his recruitment in April after a coaching change. He is the first commitment for the Slaters' Class of 2027 recruiting class.
