Michigan Offers 3A Standout Carson Smith of O'Dea Fighting Irish
The University of Michigan has extended a scholarship offer to Carson Smith, a 5-foot-10, 185-pound running back from O'Dea High School in Seattle. Smith, a member of the Class of 2026, has been a dominant force in the 3A classification, earning All-State honors in 2024. He recorded 1,542 rushing yards and 18 touchdowns in 12 games, averaging 128.5 yards per contest. Smith's offer from Michigan joins a growing list of competitive suitors, including the University of Washington, Oregon State University and University of Oregon.
