Cameron Thomas Commits to Baylor University
Cameron Thomas, a 2026 safety from O'Dea High School in Seattle, has committed to Baylor University. The 6-foot-1, 180-pound prospect chose the Bears over offers from Washington, Oregon State and others. Thomas cited Baylor's aggressive 3-4 defensive scheme as a key factor in his decision, noting that it aligns with his playing style. He also praised the Bears' strong safety depth chart and the opportunity to contribute immediately. Additionally, Thomas was drawn to Baylor's renowned academic program, which offers a range of engineering and business majors. Thomas previously decommitted from the University of Washington in April after visiting the campus. He will join a Baylor secondary that returns several key starters in 2026. Thomas' commitment adds to Baylor's strong recruiting class for the 2026 season.
