FridayNightPulse Training Tip: Elevating Graham-Kapowsin Eagles' Tight End Play

๐Ÿ“ Graham-Kapowsin EaglesยทSunday, July 26, 2026ยทFridayNightPulse Insider

For 4A programs like the Graham-Kapowsin Eagles, tight end play can be the difference-maker in a high-scoring game. To improve their TE's blocking and receiving skills, we recommend the 'Box Drill.' Set up four cones in a square formation, with each cone 5 yards apart. The TE starts at one corner of the square, then runs to each cone, performing a different block technique: a down block, a seal block, an in-block, and a release block. Complete 3 sets of 10 reps, resting 30 seconds between sets. Coaches should emphasize proper footwork, hand placement, and body positioning on each block. This drill translates to game performance by improving the TE's ability to create space and protect the QB from defensive pressure. By mastering the Box Drill, Graham-Kapowsin Eagles' TEs can become a dominant force on the field.
