Jalen Davis Commits to Navy Football Program
Jalen Davis, a 3A wide receiver from O'Dea High School, has committed to play football at the United States Naval Academy. The Class of 2026 standout chose Navy due to the Midshipmen's emphasis on speed and agility, which aligns with his own playing style. Davis is expected to contribute immediately as a slot receiver, potentially filling a depth chart spot vacated by a departing senior. The O'Dea Fighting Irish's spread offense, which Davis has been a key component of, is also similar to Navy's system. Additionally, Davis was drawn to the Naval Academy's rigorous academic program and the opportunity to earn a degree in aerospace engineering. Davis had previously considered other Division I programs but ultimately chose Navy for its strong football tradition and commitment to excellence. He is the first O'Dea player to commit to Navy in recent memory.
