Devon Brown: Lancers' Lightning Bolt
Devon Brown's 94-yard kickoff return for a touchdown in his Brookfield Central debut last season left no doubt about his electric presence on the field. The 6-foot, 190-pound running back transferred from out-of-state powerhouse, St. Edward High School in Ohio, and immediately earned the starting role at Brookfield Central. Brown's versatility and breakaway speed have the Lancers' coaching staff excited about their chances in the 6A Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association playoffs. During his senior season at St. Edward, Brown rushed for 1,243 yards and 17 touchdowns, earning him All-State honors. This summer, Brown is participating in the Lancers' strength and conditioning program, honing his skills and building chemistry with his new teammates. Scouts are watching for Brown's ability to maintain his production in the WIAA's highly competitive 6A division and his potential to emerge as a top recruit in the Class of 2025. As the Lancers prepare for the upcoming season, Brown's speed and elusiveness will be a key factor in their success.
