๐Ÿ“ Waunakee WarriorsยทFriday, July 17, 2026ยทFridayNightPulse Insider

As the University of Nebraska prepares to launch its inaugural NCAA Division 1 flag football program in 2028, the Waunakee Warriors are taking notice. Coached by Liz and Katie Sowers, the Cornhuskers are set to become a major player in the Power 4. Warriors flag football prospects are advised to monitor Nebraska's recruiting efforts closely. Meanwhile, Ottawa University, Kansas, a national powerhouse with up to 12 NAIA scholarships, remains a viable option. Keiser University, Florida, and Midland University, Nebraska, are also active recruiters. UT Arlington, a developing NCAA Division 1 program, has not yet offered scholarships. Prospective athletes can expect a formal recruiting process from Nebraska in the coming months. Warriors flag football players are encouraged to create highlight tapes and profiles to showcase their skills.
