Building a Brick Wall: Brookfield Central's OL Drill for Dominant Play

๐Ÿ“ Brookfield Central LancersยทSunday, July 19, 2026ยทFridayNightPulse Insider

To develop a dominant 6A OL line, Brookfield Central coaches focus on building a strong foundation through their 'Brick Wall' drill. This drill targets the OL's ability to anchor and control the point of attack. Set up a line of 3-4 OL players, with a defensive lineman or a focus bar at the point of attack. Players must maintain a tight, 3-point stance and engage the defender on the snap. Coaches provide cues to 'own the space' and 'drive feet into the ground.' Perform 3 sets of 10 reps, with 30 seconds rest between sets. This drill translates to game performance by improving OL's ability to absorb and redirect defensive pressure, allowing for cleaner lanes for the RB.
