Hunter Walker Commits to University of Houston
St. Marys Blue Devils wide receiver Hunter Walker has committed to the University of Houston for the Class of 2025. Walker, a 6-foot-2, 180-pound prospect, chose the Cougars over offers from Appalachian State and Marshall. The Blue Devils' star receiver fit into the Cougars' spread offense, where he will have the opportunity to contribute immediately as a freshman. Houston's depth chart at the wide receiver position is expected to be competitive, but Walker's athleticism and skillset make him an attractive option for the Cougars' coaching staff. The University of Houston's strong academic program and research opportunities also played a significant role in Walker's decision. Walker had previously committed to Appalachian State but reopened his recruitment in April, allowing him to explore other options. He is expected to sign with the Cougars in the coming weeks.
