Sheridan Broncs' Speed Coach Reveals Proven Drill for 4A S Players

๐Ÿ“ Sheridan BroncsยทFriday, July 10, 2026ยทFridayNightPulse Insider

This summer, the Sheridan Broncs' speed coaches are emphasizing a specific drill to improve their S players' agility and acceleration. The 'L-Cone Shuttle' drill involves setting up three cones in an L-shape, with the player starting at the bottom of the 'L'. They must then run through the first cone, make a sharp cut to the second cone, and immediately accelerate back through the first cone. This process is repeated for 3 sets of 10 reps. Coaching cues include 'quick feet' and 'explosive acceleration.' This drill translates to game performance by improving the S players' ability to quickly change direction and accelerate past defenders. By incorporating this drill into their pre-season training, the Broncs' S players will be better equipped to make game-changing plays.
