Broncos Tight End Drill: 'Chain Reaction' for 4A Success
Sheridan Broncs tight ends, it's time to get ready for the 4A season. Coach Thompson's 'Chain Reaction' drill is designed to improve your blocking technique, footwork, and hand placement. Set up three cones in a row, with a defender in front of each. Start at the first cone, then quickly move to the second, and finally to the third. As you move, focus on keeping your head up, shoulders square, and hands in a 'W' position. Complete 3 sets of 10 reps, with 30 seconds rest between sets. After each rep, have the defender try to 'chain' you up, using their hands to disrupt your movement. This drill translates to game performance by improving your ability to quickly change direction and maintain a strong block. Focus on speed, agility, and technique to become a dominant force in the 4A playoffs.
