Darius Martin Commits to University of Houston
Darius Martin, a 4A Class of 2025 running back from Thunder Basin High School in Gillette, Wyoming, has committed to the University of Houston. Martin, a standout performer on the Bolts, chose the Cougars over other Power Five offers. The 5-foot-10, 190-pound back cited the team's high-powered offense and the opportunity to compete for a starting role as key factors in his decision. Houston's academic program, which offers a range of business and engineering majors, also appealed to Martin. He was previously committed to the University of Colorado before decommitting in March. Martin's commitment to Houston adds depth to the Cougars' backfield, which is expected to be a strength of the team this season. He will join the team in the fall of 2025 as a true freshman.
