Alabama High School Coaches Scramble to Keep Top Talent Amid Transfer Portal Frenzy

The Big Ten's transfer portal additions have sent shockwaves across the country, and Alabama high school football coaches are on high alert. With top prospects like 6'5" QB Tyler 'The Ace' Anderson (Hueytown High) and 4-star RB Jalen 'The Jet' Jackson (Blount High) receiving interest from Power Five programs, local coaches are working overtime to convince them to stay in-state. Hueytown High's Coach Thompson has already lost two top recruits to the transfer portal this offseason, and he's worried that Anderson's departure could be next. 'We're doing everything we can to keep our kids home,' Thompson said. 'But it's getting harder and harder to compete with the big programs.'
