Emily Wilson, a multisport standout at 5A Eaglecrest Raptors, is shifting her focus to flag football in pursuit of a Division 1 scholarship. With the NCAA's Emerging Sports for Women program adding women's flag football in January 2026, Wilson sees a clear pathway to securing a full-ride. The University of Nebraska, the only Power 4 school with a fully funded D1 varsity program, is a top target. Wilson has also been in contact with NAIA programs like Ottawa University (KS) and Keiser University (FL), which offer active scholarships. Additionally, she's exploring opportunities with Midland University (NE) and UT Arlington, a D1 program in development. To secure a scholarship, Wilson must meet the NCAA's eligibility requirements and demonstrate her skills in flag football. With dedication and hard work, she may find herself suiting up for a top D1 program in the near future.
