This workout involves a series of cones set up in a zig-zag pattern, with a chain or resistance band draped over the top. Players start at one end and must weave through the cones, then react to a coach's signal to drop down and pick up the chain. Start with 3 sets of 10 reps, focusing on quick feet and explosive reactions. As players get faster, add more sets and reps. This drill translates to game performance by improving a linebacker's ability to read the play and quickly close the gap on the ball carrier.
