The East St. Louis Flyers flag football team is gearing up for the inaugural 2028 season, and local prospects are eyeing scholarship opportunities at top programs. Ottawa University, Kansas, and Keiser University, Florida, are two NAIA powerhouses actively recruiting flag talent. Ottawa University, a national powerhouse with up to 12 scholarships available, is hosting a camp in August for top prospects. Keiser University, meanwhile, is known for its aggressive recruiting efforts and has a strong presence in the Sun Conference. Local flag players are encouraged to attend these camps to get noticed by coaches Liz and Katie Sowers at the University of Nebraska, as well as the Ottawa University and Keiser University staff. Prospects can register for the Ottawa University camp by visiting their website.
