Cameron Young Commits to UTSA Roadrunners
St. Augustine Purple Knights safety Cameron Young has committed to play for the University of Texas at San Antonio Roadrunners. The Class of 2025 standout made the decision after a thorough evaluation of his collegiate options. Young cited the Roadrunners' aggressive defensive scheme as a key factor in his decision, stating that it aligns with his playing style. He also praised UTSA's depth chart, noting that he sees an opportunity to contribute immediately. Additionally, Young highlighted the university's strong academic programs, which he believes will help him achieve his long-term goals. The 6-foot-1, 180-pound safety was a two-time all-district selection and recorded 75 tackles and two interceptions in his junior season. Young previously decommitted from Louisiana-Monroe in January, but has since solidified his commitment to UTSA.
