Texas Offers Catholic High Kicker Elijah Williams
The University of Texas has extended a scholarship offer to Elijah Williams, a rising senior kicker for the Catholic High Bears in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Williams, a 5-foot-11, 170-pound specialist, has been one of the most dominant kickers in the state over the past two seasons, connecting on 24 of 28 field goal attempts and 62 of 65 extra points. He also averaged 40.5 yards per punt last season. Williams already holds offers from Arkansas, LSU, and Tulane, and has drawn interest from several other top programs in the region. As the Bears prepare for their 2026 campaign, Williams is expected to be a key contributor on special teams. With the offer from Texas, Williams will now have to weigh his options and decide where he wants to take his talents next fall. Williams is expected to make a decision by the end of the summer, with the early signing period for college football set to begin on December 20, 2026.
