Grimsley Whirlies Flag Football Prospect Draws Interest from Top Programs
Grimsley High School's flag football program is gaining momentum, and one local prospect has caught the attention of top collegiate programs. According to sources, Whirlies senior standout, Emily Wilson, has drawn verified interest from the University of Nebraska's inaugural 2028 flag football program, coached by Liz and Katie Sowers. Additionally, Wilson has received recruitment inquiries from Ottawa University, Kansas, which offers up to 12 NAIA flag football scholarships, and Keiser University, Florida, an active recruiter in the NAIA Sun Conference. Midland University, Nebraska, also has expressed interest in Wilson's skills. While UT Arlington has announced plans to develop a flag football program, it has not yet begun offering scholarships. For aspiring athletes like Wilson, this summer's flag football camps and showcases provide valuable opportunities to demonstrate their abilities and connect with coaches from top programs.
