Marcus Young Commits to TCU for 2027 Class
Marcus Young, a safety from Mandan High School's Class of 2027, has committed to play for TCU. Young's decision comes after a summer of evaluation and recruitment. TCU's defensive scheme, which features a 3-3-5 alignment, aligns with Young's skillset, allowing him to utilize his versatility in the secondary. The Horned Frogs' safety depth chart is also expected to be an area of competition, providing Young with an opportunity to contribute early in his collegiate career. Additionally, TCU's strong academic program, which has earned recognition from the NCAA for its graduation success rate, was a key factor in Young's decision. Young previously held offers from several Power Five programs, including Nebraska and Oklahoma State, before committing to TCU. He is considered one of the top safeties in the 2027 recruiting class in North Dakota.
