As the Century Patriots prepare for the upcoming season, cornerbacks will benefit from the 'Mirror, Mirror' drill. This agility exercise focuses on quick changes of direction and reaction time, essential skills for CBs in game situations. To set up, divide players into pairs with cones or markers spaced 5 yards apart. One player is the 'mirror,' while the other is the 'receiver.' The receiver starts 10 yards away, then sprints towards the mirror, who must react and mirror the receiver's movements. Perform 3 sets of 10 reps, resting 30 seconds between sets. Coaching cues: 'Mirror my move!' and 'Stay on my hip!' This drill translates to game performance by improving CBs' ability to stay with receivers on quick cuts and changes of direction.
