Jaguar WRs: Master the 'Quick Release' Drill for Summer Success

๐Ÿ“ Desert Pines JaguarsยทTuesday, July 21, 2026ยทFridayNightPulse Insider

Desert Pines Jaguars wide receivers, this summer is your chance to refine the skills that will separate you from the competition. The 'Quick Release' drill is a game-changer for 4A WRs, focusing on speed, agility, and accuracy. Set up three cones in a zig-zag pattern, 5 yards apart. Start at the first cone, then quickly cut to the second cone, releasing a pass to a teammate at the third cone. Complete 3 sets of 10 reps, focusing on explosive acceleration and a quick release. Coaching cues: 'Fast feet, quick hands' and 'Release the ball before you're touched.' This drill translates to game performance by allowing WRs to create separation and make plays downfield. It's a must-add to your summer training routine.
