FridayNightPulse Training Tip: Massillon Tigers' Linebacker Agility Ladder Drill

๐Ÿ“ Massillon TigersยทWednesday, July 15, 2026ยทFridayNightPulse Insider

At Div II powerhouse Massillon Tigers, linebackers are putting in the work this summer to improve their agility and reaction time. The Tigers' coaching staff has developed a drill that targets these key areas, and we're breaking it down for you. The drill involves setting up an agility ladder on the field, with cones marking the start and finish points. Players will perform 3 sets of 10 reps, moving through the ladder in a zig-zag pattern, focusing on quick footwork and rapid changes of direction. Coaching cue: 'Fast feet, slow hands.' This drill translates to game performance by allowing linebackers to quickly close gaps and cover more ground on the field.
