As the inaugural 2028 season for University of Nebraska's girls flag football program approaches, local prospects are eyeing other verified scholarship pathways. Springfield Wildcats flag team members are encouraged to consider attending summer camps at Ottawa University, Kansas, and Keiser University, Florida. Ottawa University's national powerhouse program offers up to 12 NAIA scholarships, while Keiser University is an active recruiter in the NAIA Sun Conference. Midland University, Nebraska, also offers NAIA scholarships and is an active recruiter. Local flag prospects can take concrete steps by researching these programs and registering for upcoming camps. Coaches Liz and Katie Sowers at the University of Nebraska will be watching closely as these programs develop.
