Coventry Oakers Girls Flag Football Athletes Eye New Scholarship Opportunities

๐Ÿ“ Coventry OakersยทSunday, July 26, 2026ยทFridayNightPulse Insider

Coventry Oakers girls flag football players are now on the radar of several top programs, thanks to the RIIL's expansion of the flag football pilot district in Texas. The move has created new scholarship pathways for Texas athletes, particularly those from the Coventry Oakers. The University of Nebraska, led by coaches Liz and Katie Sowers, is one of the top programs recruiting in the region. They will offer scholarships in the inaugural 2028 season. Ottawa University, Kansas, is another powerhouse program offering up to 12 scholarships. Keiser University, Florida, and Midland University, Nebraska, are also actively recruiting. Coventry Oakers athletes looking to take their skills to the next level should research these programs and reach out to their coaches to discuss potential opportunities.
