As the summer heats up, many 11A prospects are gearing up for unofficial visits to their top college targets. While these visits can be a great way to get a feel for a program, they can also be a minefield of missteps. To ensure you make a positive impression, follow these tips: Be on time, dress professionally, and come prepared with thoughtful questions. Don't overstay your welcome โ€“ aim for a 2-3 hour visit. For example, if you're visiting a program with a 9 a.m. start time, plan to leave by 12 p.m. at the latest. Remember, the coaches and staff are evaluating not just your skills on the field, but also your character and work ethic. By being respectful and prepared, you'll make a lasting impression that can pay dividends down the line.
