As the SDHSAA flag football pilot program expands to new districts, South Dakota athletes are turning their attention to verified scholarship programs. The Brandon Valley Lynx, a perennial powerhouse in 11AA, are no exception. With the University of Nebraska's inaugural 2028 season on the horizon, led by coaches Liz and Katie Sowers, Lynx players are eyeing the Power 4 school's 12 scholarships. Ottawa University, Kansas, and Keiser University, Florida, are also actively recruiting, offering up to 12 scholarships and multiple full-ride opportunities. Midland University, Nebraska, is another NAIA program with a strong presence in the region. While UT Arlington's NCAA D1 program is still in development, these verified scholarship pathways provide a clear path forward for Lynx athletes.
